Built in 1913, the “Venetian” sawmill was the first timber cutting plant in the Valley. Later it was purchased by the Feltrinelli Company which managed it until after the Second World War, contributing decisively to the economic exploitation of the forest resources of the Valley. The Venetian saw was a machine whose operation was based on the principle of the water mill. The building therefore represents a valuable example of industrial archaeology for the Valley.
